Team 3 vs. Team 4 -- Should the U.S. Balance the Budget by Raising Taxes or Cutting Entitlements?

Team 5 vs. Team 6 -- Should the U.S. Raise the Federal Minimum Wage?
Team 5 YES, Team 6 NO

Regional Debate (week 5)
Team 9 vs. Team 10 -- Should Wisconsin Grow by Improving Amenities or Cutting Taxes?

Debate Rules

  • Each team has exactly 7 minutes to present
  • Each team must hand to me the following in advance:
    • A Power Point set of slides
    • A full written transcript lasting 7 minutes when read aloud of the argument the team is making
  • After each team presents, there will be a brief Q&A
  • Teams will be graded based on the clarity of the presentation and the soundness of the arguments
